About Me:
After graduating from Pelham High School I attended the University of Montevallo, studying both Biology and Chemistry. I continued my education at Montevallo, earning a Masters in Education to teach Biology. I've taught Biology every one of my 21 years of teaching. I've taught AP Biology since 2011, minus a recent two year break from that course, to which I returned this year. Along the way I also taught zoology for one brief year, ACT Prep Science for two years, Earth and Space for two years, and Environmental Science for three years.
I spent much of the last 15 years competing in dog sports but retired from that in 2020 due to the Pandemic and an elderly competition dog. Now my free time is spent relaxing at home, traveling with my family in our pop-up camper, or attending basketball games for my husband's team. Our son was born during the summer of 2022 and is now a very, very busy toddler. Life is never dull!
In addition to my dog, I have 2 cats, one of which is a feral that I have semi-domesticated.
