About Me:
After graduating from Pelham High School I attended the University of Montevallo, studying both Biology and Chemistry. I continued my education at Montevallo, earning a Masters in Education to teach Biology. In 2004 I was hired to teach Biology at my alma mater.  I added AP Biology in 2011. In 2016 I started teaching Earth and Space and ACT Science Prep in addition to Biology and AP Biology. I transitioned to teaching Advanced Biology instead of Earth and Space in 2018, and am now teaching the courses listed above.  I spent much of the last 15 years competing in dog sports but retired from that in 2020 due to the Pandemic and an elderly competition dog.  Now my free time is spent relaxing at home, traveling with my family in our pop-up camper, or attending basketball games for my husband's team.  Our son was born during the summer of 2022 and is now a very, very busy toddler.  Life is never dull!

In addition to my dog, I have 2 cats, one of which is a feral that I have semi-domesticated.
